Preview – Document Structure
This shows the sequence of Sections in your document, and, if you expand the section, the approximate contents of your document.
The contents may not exactly match what the generator will create, as the generator uses lots more settings to customize the content, bt this is good guide to what the document will contain.
From this view you see:
Sections
Section name is hidden from the user, but may be useful to remember what content is in each section.
Actions:
- Delete. Deletes all content from the document, and removes the section definition from the document profile
- Increase / Decrease heading level. By default, headings are all H1, so use this to make headings H2, H3 etc . This will change all the heading levels for all the headings.
Note: if you choose ‘H0’ (zero) this will remove the heading completely. Useful if you don’t want a heading for this section - Change the section name by right-clicking and chosing Section Properties
- Find in document
- Generate (draft only) – generates this section, but with no hyperlinks
Headings
Shows the heading level, usually for a package, but may also be for elements.
Actions:
- Profile – show the Profile for this element type. Usually ‘Package’ profile, but may be for elements if they are printing inline
- Exclude element – excludes the element from either this section, or from the whole document
- Find in EA project browser
Diagrams
Actions:
- Print normal (diagram picture)
- Diagram and all contents
- Contents, no diagram
- Exclude diagram – this section
- Exclude diagram – whole document
- Find in EA project browser
