Home › Forums › eaDocX queries › Landscape diagrams – Caption justified incorrectly
I have come across a problem with the following. The vast majority of my diagrams are orientated as A4 portrait, with a few A4 landscape. Below each diagram there is the caption, e.g. “Figure 8 Process diagram”. eaDocX is generating the caption on generating the document.
On A4 portrait, the caption is text aligned to the left -> nice and neat
On A4 landscape, the caption is justified to left and right, hence big spaces in the middle of the text -> Not neat
I can’t find a setting that controls the caption alignment. Any ideas?
Regards
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
It may be that when printing Landscape, eaDocX is picking up the Word Style setting from the diagram image above it.
Have a look at the Diagram Settings :: Word style for Diagram Picture. Is his set to a style which is left/right justifying the text ?
Hi
I have checked and my Word style for diagram picture is “Normal” and this is set to left and right justify. This is what my landscape setting is doing. However there is only one setting which must apply for both portrait and landscape.
So why am I getting differing behaviour between portrait and landscape? And it is the unspecified behaviour is the one that I want (portrait left alinged)!
Thanks
Jeff
