Hi
Say I have a package with a diagram followed by elements that appear on the diagram
If I select the package in the project browser, and add as a section, I get the package, the diagram and all the elements in the preview
Suppose I only want to output just the package name, the package notes and the diagram, but not all the elements.
I can exclude each element from the section, BUT I have to select each element.
I suggest that either
a) When adding a package as a section have the option to include the diagram / elements
b) Be able to select more than one element in the preview and exclude from this section all elements in the selection
All the best
One way to stop the elements from printing is to delete any Profiles for them – no profile, no print.
I realise this is a bit drastic.
There used to be an option to make Packages not print their Children, but this caused most users angst, as they expected to see the child elements: no printing them is exceptional.
I’ll have a look at some sort of ‘don’t print children’ option (backlog item #167) and the ‘exclude a list of things’ is also a good idea (#168)
