Hi
I’ve just discovered that eaDocX closes unsaved diagrams when including them in a document. I found out the hard way when I discovered my document had my latest changes but the model didn’t. Can’t imagine that this is intended behaviour. If I hadn’t generated the document EA would have prompted me to save the diagram when I closed it if I had forgotten to do so.
To reproduce the problem:

It’s not the *intended* behavior, but it’s all that Sparx allows.
The only way eaDocX can get a diagram is to open it in EA, then get a copy of it into the clipboard. There’s no API which tells us what diagrams are already opened, so we open a new one each time. The polite thing is then to close it, as otherwise you’d have 10s of diagrams.
Sorry- nothing we can do…
Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like Sparx ought to be providing more information to extensions. I’m guessing that this isn’t the only issue caused by the API. 🙁
