Editing Relationship Profiles

The Profile Editor specifies the way in which each element type will print in a document. It also allows you to print information about related elements and the relationships between elements.

The three types of related element data available are:

1. Attributes of each relationship connected to the source element
2. A table of all the elements connected to the source element
3. Attributes of individual elements connected to the source element

Relationship Attributes

• Select this data type to see the “Edit Relationship Attributes” pop-up window with two panes.
• The left pane shows icons of all the relationship types in the model that are connected to your source element type.
• Click to expand a list of everything connected using that relationship.
• Each target element can be expanded to show their additional relationship types and related elements.
• Follow the tree to find the required relationship type or related element type.
• Select a relationship or element type, and choose from the available hyperlinks, fields and TVs which are displayed in the right pane.
• The chosen attribute(s) will be added to the source element Inline or Table profile.

Related Element Tables

• Select this data type to see the “Choose a Relationship” pop-up window
• This shows icons of all the relationship types in the model that are connected to your source element type.
• Click to expand a list of everything connected using that relationship.
• Each target element can be expanded to show their additional relationship types and related elements.
• Follow the tree to find the required relationship type or related element type.
• Select a relationship or element type, and choose from the available hyperlinks, fields and TVs which are displayed in the right pane.
• A table of the chosen attribute(s) will be added to the source element profile.
