Save / Export a profile
Table of contents
If you have a document which has some useful formatting in it, and you want to use it again in another document, one way to do this is to ‘save as’ the first document, then give it some new content, as normal. That way, the second document gets the prole information which was saved in the first.
Another way to do this is to save the profile of the first document and import it into the second. This is useful when you already have the second document, but just want to make some parts of it look like the first.
To do this, open the first document in eaDocX, and in the ‘Save’ menu, choose Profile/ save profile.
This will save all your formatting information into an XML file, which you can then import into another document.
Advanced
If you are feeling very confident, you can even edit the XML file, but only do this if you are sure you know what your are doing. This file is NOT designed to be editable, so if you do make any changes please don’t contact eaDocX support. You are on your own.
