eaSheets Options

Welcome to eaSheets.

From the main menu you will find the following options:

	Save
	Save to the package (if the sheet was opened on a package). This will put a copy of all of the sheet contents, and all the formatting you choose, into the EA package (as a tagged value). You can them open the sheet again quickly by choosing Specialize / eaSheets / Open package sheet. Save as template. See eaSheets Templates Save to Excel. If you want to send this sheet to other users, or do more formatting, then save it as an Excel sheet to get access to lots more function.
	IMPORT into EA. Takes all the updates from your sheet, and saves them back into EA. Note: this is only available in the paid-for version of eaSheets. With this you can update: Values of EA fields, like name and status Values of tagged values Connections to other elements. See Editing connections
	Edit Rows and Columns Allows you to choose which kinds of element types and stereotypes appear in the sheet (rows) and which columns to display. See Choosing element types and columns
	Show/Hide EA Field Columns
	Show/Hide Tagged value Columns
	Show/Hide Relationship Columns
	Use these three options to show or hide different types of columns. Makes it easier to focus on a single type of data when editing sheets with lots of columns.
	Refresh. RE-reads all data from EA.
	Auto-fit columns widths Sets the width of all columns to fit the text in each cell. Helpful to make your data as easy to read as possible
	Sort Select a column, the sort the sheet either ascending or descending order based on the value of the cells in the chosen column.
	Wrap Column Select a column, then choose this to wrap all the text in the column
	Compare with EA When you have made lots of changes to EA, use this to check the current values. Helps to stop you from overwriting data which may have changed since you started editing the sheet.
	Add or Edit Conditional Formatting Add colors or replacement text to your sheets using some simple rules. See Conditional Formatting for Sheets
	Show/Hide child elements Click this to show or hide the children of the elements in the sheet.
	Show Connectors If the sheet contains details of related elements, click this to get another sheet of all the connectors referenced by this sheet. Lets you edit the connectors in more detail. See Editing Connectors
