    Hello everyone,

I have experienced issues with installing EA and having the application recognize the eaDocX extension.

I have noticed that when the EA application is installed (version 12.1), the registry changes are made under local user instead of local machine.

Is there any way to make it so that the registry is changed under local machine instead?

I will appreciate all the help.

    Thank you.

As luck would have it, we have just completed a non-admin installer (for exactly the reasons you mention) so I’ll let you know when we’ve finished testing it. Shouldn’t be more than a day or two.

    Hi there,

I was curious to know if the non-admin installer has been released.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.

Ah – the Model Expert non-admin installer is done and released – we’re just trying to find what we did with the eaDocX version.
It’s not that we’ve lost it.
We just don’t know exactly where we put it….

    Hello,

Has the eaDocX non-admin version been found and released?

    Thank you.

Also, what changes/entries does the install of eaDocX make to the registry?

Believe me, if I knew, I would tell you! All this is part of the Dark Magic which is the Microsoft WIX installer.
Best plan is to install eaDocX somewhere, then see what got installed.
Please not that, if you DO create some exotic automation to do this, then we may well change how it works at some future date, as this stuff isn’t seen by users. For example, we’re currently a bit relaxed about what eaDocX classes are made ‘public’, so that will be gradually reducing as new releases some along.
