Currently running the latest version of eaDocX (eaDocX 3.7.5.1) on EA12.
When I load EA and tick the box to not show the splash screen for eaDocX, I get the following error:
“System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly ‘System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089’ or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
File name: ‘System, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken…..”
It gives an unhandled exception and I have to continue. eaDocX is then disabled and doesn’t work.
What should I do?
I’m running EA 12.0.1209 on Windows 7. It repeats every time I open EA.
From your screen-shot, I can’t quite see which file is missing from your environment.
Possibly something in .NET 3.5 (so worth checking that that’s installed OK) or something in Office – again, worth doing a ‘install – repair’ for Office, to make sure that Word’s DLLs are all there. Also, eaDocX doesn’t work with the versions of Word which do a just-in-time download (can’t remember what this is called).
