Home › Forums › eaDocX queries › Report using SQL as source with #Package# in WHERE
Hi,
I created an aggregate query which counts based on specific conditions. This SQL query contains – WHERE p.Package_ID=#Package# – as the where condition. This query produces the proper results when run in the Query execution window. I would like to use this query in a report but it only works if I hard code the Package in the query. If I leave the #Package# macro in, I get no results. Using this parameter in the query will allow me to have just one query and then I can reuse this for many reports.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rajie
eaDocX just submits the query SQL to EA API for it to run, because if we get EA to execute the query, it runs OK, but doesn’t give back the results. We have obviously asked several times for this feature, but no luck so far.
We know there are differences in handling of SQL through the Sparx API, vs the same SQL through the EA user interface – looks like this is another which doesn’t work.
Thank you.
