Home › Forums › eaDocX queries › Update a relationship matrix via Excel?
Hi,
I’m wondering if eadocx (eaXL?) can make it possible to achieve the following:
I created a relationships matrix of requirements versus processes in EA. I need to create each relationship with an overlay (e.g. CRUD) using data that’s been provided in Excel.
Hence I need to export my relationship matrix to an Excel file, complete it in Excel, and update it back to EA.
Thanks
Guillaume
The challenge is how to specify the exact kind of connector to create between for each Cell: type, direction, name, stereotype etc.
So far, this idea has stayed in the ‘too hard’ pile 🙁
Nice to have some support on this one, as it’s been on my wish-list for a while. I very recently had to transfer some model data from EA into MEGA. It was made much easier by an Excel-based matrix import facility that had been developed in an add-on. It reminded me how much I miss the feature when using EA.
Yes I know it’s difficult, but we can live in hope …
