Hi
When I generate use cases which contain a number of scenarios, e.g. Basic Path and alternates, an extra heading is generated which looks as if it is meant to group the scenarios, but it is at the same level as the scenarios.
E.g.
1 My use case
1.1 Scenarios
1.2 Basic Path : Basic Path
1.3 Alternate : Something went wrong
It looks as if it should be like this instead:
1 My use case
1.2 Scenarios
1.2.1 Basic Path : Basic Path
1.2.2 Alternate : Something went wrong
Is there a configuration option to change this?
Thanks
Mike
I just tried with a Quick Document, using 3.9.2.4 and the output looked like this:
1.1 Use Case 1
1.1.1 Basic Path:….
That’s because the default Profile for Use Cases doesn’t print the ‘scenarios’ as a separate heading, so, if there is not intermediate heading text, eaDocX just has two levels of heading.
If I add the word ‘Scenarios’ to the Profile for UseCases, I then get :
1.1 Use Case 1
1.1.1 Scenarios
1.1.1.1 Basic path…
Can you have a look at the Profile you’re using? For Use Case AND for Scenario.
Thanks, that has helped. The starting point was the following output:
1 My use case
1.1 Scenarios
1.2 Basic Path : Basic Path
1.3 Alternate : Something went wrong
When I edited the use case profile to remove the Scenarios title and regenerated the document the Scenarios heading was removed, just as you said.
1 My use case
1.1 Basic Path : Basic Path
1.2 Alternate : Something went wrong
When I then added the Scenarios title back into the Use Case profile and regenerated the document the Scenarios heading was added back in and the heading level for each of the scenarios is now at the correct level.
1 My use case
1.1 Scenarios
1.1.1 Basic Path : Basic Path
1.1.2 Alternate : Something went wrong
Thanks
Mike
