    Hi,

I encountered 2 problems with VBScript and eaDocX:

    1. “option explicit” doesn’t seem to work. I always get an error “Variable is undefined”, even though I declared it before usage
    2. How can I include other scripts (common definitions or functionality) within my script? EA uses “!INC” for that purpose, but even though the eaDocX example scripts also use that, it doesn’t seem to work.

The attachment contains an EA model, where these problems can be reproduced. I added 2 scripts, which are based on the APITest example with minor changes:
In APITestExplicit I only added “option explicit” at the top, and for APITestInclude I simply used otElement from Local Scripts.EAConstants-VBScript (which is already included also in the original APITest!).

I added 2 stereotyped packages to the model, each uses one of the abovementioned scripts. APITestExplicit returns an error and APITestInclude prints an empty string for otElement (which is defined as 4).

Finally, I added a script ‘Test’ to the model to show that both works fine when used in EA itself.

Are these known bugs and will they be fixed? Is there any other way to include other scripts for eaDocX?

    Thanks and regards
    Markus
