I can never get that pane to come up when in eaDocX. The only things I had running yesterday were EA, eaDocX, Outlook, Explorer and Word apart from the usual background stuff that companies insist on like Anti-virus, Asset Management etc.

Funny this should have appeared just as I was about to write a similar post. Trailing new lines are ‘helpfully removed’ by eaDocX from NOTES in the output document which doesn’t always look good. I would prefer to have control over content, not have eaDocX decide for me.

See also this link for ADDED newlines about half way into the post.

Seems like the Word “Help me at all costs bug” has spread to eaDocX ๐Ÿ™‚

I have since found out that not having a navigation pane in the word windows means I cant search my word document while in EA, the search entry is made at the top of the navigation pane. Is this something you are looking at adding back in?

I think that the main thing to remember is that a diagram is just a view onto the data so you could generate many more smaller diagrams each with more targeted data views and get the same result.

Further to this there is a bug. For the ports I am looking at the relationship between 2 ports and have set up a profile as follows. The table has
ParentName gives me the name of the source port
DGCON_Target Element Name gives me the name of the target port
DGCON_Target Element Alias gives me the name (NOT THE ALIAS) of the target port

When WORD is doing its stuff for name I can see a large ID followed by ,NAMEยง which is OK but for the alias I just get , ยง

Any movement on this whole subject? I am putting off another purchase in the hope…

Component B and its ports were indented in the post editor but that seems to have been removed when the post is viewed in the forum.

So how about renaming the menu item [Find Section in document] or adding an altText item to describe the operation

I think the first thing is to get to know where all the blank lines are.

After that find out which ones  the customers and provide an option to remove those making customers ๐Ÿ™‚ .

And there is an additional blank line after the the description, causing a lot of empty space in the document. Can the generation of the blank line be suppressed?

There seems to be a blank line output at the end of every section too. This is sometimes enough to create a complete empty page in the middle of a document.

Could you do this with separate [Sections]

Tried it again and there is no NOT SAVE, just SAVE or CANCEL, so my original observation stands.

Not in my web browser it doesn’t. If I click it to open in a new tab, I just get a repeat of the same page. Using IE 10.0.9200.16618 on Windows 7

Maybe the details button could go straight to the blog entry instead of looping back on itself.

I don’t know if its relevant but the relationships between Activities and Processes has been under scrutiny recently in version 10 of EA
