eadocX SupportParticipant
Please can you create another Licence Server Application from the website at
http://keygen.eadocx.com/UsdLicenseService/ecommerce/generatelsa.aspxWe have just upgraded the LSA to fix this issue, so we beleive this version should fix the ‘base 64’ problem.
Thanks- This reply was modified 8 years, 6 months ago by eadocX Support.
eadocX SupportParticipantWindows 10 is no problem for eaDocX
eadocX SupportParticipantIf the repair/re-install didn’t work, then I have no more ideas. eaDocX doesn’t care if you have downloaded the Trial before – it will care if you have been using it for more than 30 days, but that produces a more ‘normal’ error message.
The only thing I can suggest is to un-install eaDocX, re-install Office, and then re-install eaDocX.eadocX SupportParticipantThis sometimes happens when there have been different versions of Word on the same computer: Word just gets confused which bits are installed.
Best plan is to do a ‘Repair’ re-install of office: NOT a full re-install. Just the ‘Repair’ option, which makes all the bits of Word consistent.
Please try this, and let us know what happens.eadocX SupportParticipantHi Colin,
Can you send me the SQL, and an XMI which has a little bit of the data which the SQl should return, then I’ll have look. Sorry this got overlooked 🙁eadocX SupportParticipantRemember that eaDocX Excel will look for Tagged values which actually exist in the model. If there are MDG-defined Tagged Values, then only if there are elements which have created values for those TVs (so the TVs appear in t_objectTaggedValues) will they appear in the list of available TVs in Excel.
This has always been the case, and has not changed recently…eadocX SupportParticipantwhat kind of element? I just tried this on 3.8.4.3, and the TV appears (on a random element type)
eadocX SupportParticipantI can confirm that, if you want to sort ANYTHING – requirements, packages, your house recycling…- then eaUtils is the way to go!
eadocX SupportParticipantHow many packages & elements do you have in this model? I have tested up to 10,000 packages, but this test model had no contents in the packages.
Are you able to work out at what point eaDocX falls-over? I only ask, because I can’t reproduce the error, so it makes it a bit hard to move forward on this issue, which bothers me….eadocX SupportParticipantOnly content from EA is rendered into the HTML version.
This is because it’s not a ‘save as’ from Word – this generates a horrible HTML document which has all kinds of odd behaviors. I think this is described in the Collaboration Edition documentation.
So, we re-generate the document as ‘pure’ HTML.
To support this “100% generated” approach, we have added quite a bit of additional function, such as adding of images from the EA image store (for logos on front pages) and style-overrides.This is the direction of travel of eaDocX, to move from concentrating on generating Word documents to generating HTML for online review. We’ll always support Word, but our customers are telling us that the online review approach works best for most of them.
eadocX SupportParticipantAs you say, 2007 is a bit old, but it’s only 2003 which we no longer support, so that shouldn’t be the issue.
Can you get any bit of eaDocX to work? Can you open an existing Word document in eaDocX? There is also an installation check function in eaDocX: see ‘Extensions / eaDocX / Help / Check installation.
This tests many of the interfaces between eaDocX and Word, and, if you turn on the eaDocX Trace (as suggested by the feature) then we can often detect some installation errors. But it can’t detect 100% of problems – Windows just isn’t kind like that.
But its wort a go.eadocX SupportParticipantSorry that you are having problems.
I’m afraid that I can’t translate the error message, but it looks like there is a problem with eaDocX talking to Word.
Do you have a full install of MS Word? eaDocX needs to access the Word .DLLs, so a full install is needed, not office 365.eadocX SupportParticipantWow- this must have taken you a while to figure out.
On behalf of all the Citrix eaDocX users: thanks!eadocX SupportParticipantHave you tried opening it with the very latest version (3.8.4.2)?
This fixed an error with reading of Profiles.eadocX SupportParticipantWhen creating an Appendix, I usually:
– create e.g ‘Appendix A’ as a manual heading i.e. one in the Word document, not from eaDocX, and give it a heading level 1.
– Then, all content which follows – regular sections or reports – just have a heading starting at ‘2’. -
