From your screen-shot, I can’t quite see which file is missing from your environment.
Possibly something in .NET 3.5 (so worth checking that that’s installed OK) or something in Office – again, worth doing a ‘install – repair’ for Office, to make sure that Word’s DLLs are all there. Also, eaDocX doesn’t work with the versions of Word which do a just-in-time download (can’t remember what this is called).

Always best to upgrade to the latest version. Then try again.

    Which eaDocX version?

    1. there is an additional attribute, available only for Objects, which is RunState Variable Summary, which prints the attribute, operator and value, for all the run state variables.

    2. if the <> is also an Object, then you can use the same approach
If not an object, then what is your <
    > a stereotype of? I thought that only Objects can have run states?
    To create a profile for a <
    >(thing) just go to the ‘profile’ tab in eaDocX and choose ‘add element’. You can create profiles for any element+stereotype, but there has to be an instance of it in your model somewhere.

Or, do it the easy way, and create an eaDocX “quick document” on the package which contains the elements/objects, and eaDocX will create profiles for all types+stereotypes.

What are your conveyed type So? If they are associated with the connectors, then seen above. If they are elements, then print as an element.
What exactly does your model look like? And what do you want your document to look like? Easier to answer the question if we know what you are trying to do 🙂

Certainly can. It there somewhere, I think as an attribute of an Object.

I created a simple hierarchy of packages and classes, then opened the top-most package using the ‘open ALL in Excel’ option.
This did seem to give me all the attributes of all the classes in all the packages. And I can edit the descriptions of each attribute, if I choose to export that data as well.
So I’m confused as to what you did?

I tried opening just the Attributes of the class in Excel (eaDocX / Open in Excel / Attributes), then choosing to export the ‘description’ (notes) etc as additional columns.
    This seemed to work.

    To get this to work
    (1) you need to have a Collaboration Edition licence (or the Trial version)
    (2) the document needs to be using eaDocX Document Management.

EA does allow for both a ‘metafile’ and ‘bitmap’ format (see EA Help– the PutDiagramImageOnClipboard method) but the reason we only use the ‘metafile’ option is that it appears much clearer when pasted into a Word document.
If the ‘bitmap’ option is needed, then we will give you yet another setting to make eaDocX use the ‘bitmap’ setting instead.
Before I do that, I will send you an example document where the diagrams are exported in both styles, so you can check they meet your requirements.

Have you tried generating the document as HTML? This creates a single HTML file, some images, and a CSS.
I will have a look at the diagram issue.

…and there is also the option to print in the ‘compact’ style, which is good for really large datasets.

    Hi Michel,
    Short answer is no.
We have based our Relationship Matrix on the EA Relationship matrix, and we’ve already added quite a few enhancement above the EA implementation: you can restrict the source- and target- by stereotype, print data attributes into each cell, with or without conditional formatting, or print a matrix where empty rows or columns are omitted.
We have no plans currently to add even more function, but we’re always open to suggestions (see the Suggestions part of this forum)
