What content?
eadocX SupportParticipantWe have not seen this error before, but we suggest using one of the many ‘utility’ tools which can be found on the ‘net to find out which process is using the file, and stopping that process.
eadocX SupportParticipantHi Matt,
The hyperlink style is an odd one: eaDocX doesn’t specify which Word paragraph style to use for hyperlinks – it seems to be constrained to use a built-in one (a bit like “Heading 1..” etc).
I think I’ve had the same issue with a Word document which I was given. After searching around Word for ages, I think I finally gave up, and copied all the document contents to a new document!eadocX SupportParticipantHi Frank
The test scripts which we use are all in a new Scripts Group. There are other groups of Scripts called ‘local scripts’, but these don’t appear in the list of scripts which eaDocX can use. We get the lists from the t_scripts table, so those ‘local’ ones must get stored somewhere else.eadocX SupportParticipantsee https://store.eadocx.com/web-downloads/floating-licence-user-guide
if you cannot find what you need in this document, please ask further questions.eadocX SupportParticipantStill trying to build a windows 8.1 machine to test this on. Nightmare.
eadocX SupportParticipantImplemented in 3.5.4
eadocX SupportParticipantIf you are using Floating eaDocX licences, then the licence will automatically get released after 10 minutes of no usage.
If you have fixed licences, then just delete everything – then you can use the eaDocX licence key on another machine. Our security system will detect that the key is being used on a new machine, but as this is a normal use case, will not create an error. Only if the licence is being used on the same machine at the same time will you see any problems.
ThankseadocX SupportParticipantAny changes on your machine?
There’s a new version on the website – 3.5.3 – but I haven’t made any changes in this area – might be worth a try….eadocX SupportParticipantNo matter. I have found the error: I just had not implemented the case of a TV being strongly-typed to Attributes or Methods.
Fix will be in this week’s maintenance release, which will 3.5.3.
Also, as I was testing this fix, I noticed some very strange EA ‘features’: when I created the new TV type, it only appeared in the list when I stopped EA and re-started it. Even a model re-load was not enough.eadocX SupportParticipantHi Frank,
In the eaDocX Trace, if you select the line which says ‘unexpected error’, is there more detail available? i.e. does the ‘More Details’ button get enabled? This should give me some more clues.eadocX SupportParticipantHi Matt,
Well I’m baffled by this one. Can’t think of any reason why these controls should be left out.
Are there any errors reported in the eaDocX trace? Also, does this happen for all kinds of elements & stereotypes ?eadocX SupportParticipant😉
eadocX SupportParticipantWhere does the table of GUIElements come from ? If they are a simple list, then create a ‘do not print’ profile for the stereotype will exclude them. Are they being printed as items which are related to something else, via a relationship? If so, you can also restrict the target element type.
Also, if you are printing a list which comes from navigating a relationship, then you can get the profile of the source element to “Add Related element”. This will print the target element(s) using their normal profile. if that profile is ‘table’ then the target elements will print as a table. If ‘do not print’ then they will be excluded.eadocX SupportParticipantIs it because the form size is too small? Looks ok here….
