Problem solved! Security on the repository was preventing the creation of the documentVersion stereotype. Once the version element had the stereotype set to documentVersion, eadocx generation & version incrementing functions as expected. Thanks Ian.

I select a package in EA and create a Quick Document.
It generates and saves the document to my local hard drive.
Tools -> Document Management -> Enable DM.
Diaglog box appears and the version 0.0.1 is created and saved on a network share. (\GWLANFS2ISCOMMONGarryeadocxeaDocX Quick Document 2016_Jul_20 09_30 0.0.1.docx)

Can any further debugging be done on this issue? I’d be willing to test a debug version of the code to help diagnose this issue. Without this working our architects can’t use the larger company Sparx EA repository to track document versions etc. Thanks.

Upgrading to eadocx 3.8.4.1 and the corresponding DCC 1.6+ resolved this issue, thanks.

I’ve also upgraded to eadocx 3.8.4.1 ant the issue remains that I can’t pick a package when the repository has a large number of packages. This renders the Collaboration features useless in our primary repository environment.

In looking at the logs, the current issue is:
5/5/2016 5:44:13 PM ERROR [IM014] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application.

Google seems to indicate the issue is between the driver 32 vs 64 bit and the application 32 vs. 64 bit.

I’ve attached driver information on my ODBC connection.

The web server is on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 bit, IIS 7.5, SQL Server Expresss 64 bit.

Which driver should I be using to work with your web application?

I’ve set up a new repository using SQL 2012 on the same server as the Collaboration application. This repository has a simple model with only 20 packages and I’m able to browse to a package to set up the Collaboration configuration. It seems that the issue is eadocx browsing a large SQL Server repository.
