The problem is at step 6 I think.
eaDocX saves all the Profile and settings information in some XML which is saved in the Word document. If you are doing lots of copying and comparing, maybe this got lost.
Have you looked into eaDocX Collaboration Edition? This is designed to collect together all the feedback from multiple users, and let you see who have commented/changed each Ea element. It will even do the updates into EA for you. I think you should look into this.
    Thanks

Hmmm. I wonder if something is going wrong in the generator when the hyperlinks are being created.
Can you run it again with the eaDocX Trace switched on? That sometimes shows errors.
Also, have you tried reducing the scope of the document, and printing smaller bits, in case there’s an error in one small area which is causing everything to fail. We sometimes see strange stuff like this where there are inconsistencies in the EA model, some of which eaDocX isn’t expecting.

I have checked, and eaDocX is exporting the correct table widths to Word, so I guess this is due to Word ‘helping’ by re-sizing the table. We have no control over that function, sorry.

So are you seeing NO hyperlinks anywhere in the document? This usually only happens when you are generating a document in DRAFT mode, but this is usually only used when you need a quick look at the generated document. This is because creating all the word hyperlinks can take some time. Otherwise, there should be no difference.

Did you try using a new section with an Element Report in it? Element Reports can be made from elements from anywhere in the model.
If you want it to be put inside another section, that eaDocX can’t do that.
And there is always the ultimate option of creating your own script to document elements of that type – but this requires programming.

This has been fixed in the latest release: 5.0.4.3. Existing profiles will no longer overwrite existing ones EXCEPT when there is no profile (this shows as ‘do not print’). So, if you delete a profile for a specific element type (for example, ‘Comment’) , then add a new section with some Comment elements in it, eaDocX will add a new profile for ‘Comment’. That’s just because eaDocX can’t tell the difference between ‘there is no Profile because someone deleted one which WAS there’ and ‘there just isn’t a profile’.

The olny solution here is to covert your floating licences to Group Licences. We are happy to help you to do this.
We have asked our Crypto provider about this, and they can’t fix it.
