Hi,

I don’t think there was an answer but for a related follow-up, we also use Object Instances to record run-time configuration settings (Advanced–>Convert to Instance–>Set Run State). In the attribute list for the object element Run State and Run State Variables are slectable items but I can’t get them to produce any output. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

Also in our installation, when running EA and eadocx over Citrix, eadocx forgets the licence key every time.

I’m not convinced it is an Oracle issue – the error is being presented as a Microsoft .Net Framework problem. I’ll do some investigation with other team members to make sure it isn’t just my problem.

By the way I’ve upgrade to 3.06 and it hasn’t solved the problem. Any chance of a reply as it’s kind of important!

Ah yes – that was the issue. Pressing the X in eadocx doesn’t just close eadocx, it also attempts to close the whole of EA. If you have diagrams unsaved, EA offers the opportunity to save them before it closes (when you can Cancel which keeps EA open) otherwise EA just shuts down.

It’s been a while since I wrote serious SQL code but my recollection was that PLSQL and Transact SQL were quite different.

Hmmm – quite a lot in my environment, starting with the Generate Profile from Model which was producing EA object not found type errors and then some of the stereotype selection drop downs were empty (creating a new stereotype for Class for example) and some spurious results with the formatting of tables. sorry to be a bit vague but I’ve just reinstalled the previous version so can’t check at the moment. Once I’ve got some current docs out I’ll upgrade again and give it a proper go.

I think what is needed is, when the diagram is put into the document it honours the page size and bottom margin. If the diagram prints after a package for example, the package will be heading 1 which will start a new page, have a paragraph of description followed by a diagram which should take the rest of the page (if necessary).

Just to add, when rebooting EA and EAdocx, the document is left open and locked (to me) and the only option appears t be to create a copy and discard the old one. This is pretty destructive. (Oops happened again – now have three versions of the same uneditable document all locked to me) :angry:
