Volker HondsParticipantHi,
I’ve checked it now on a different machine, where I can confirm the same installations. The problem can also be reproduced.
Additional information: both systems have a MS Office Professional Plus 2010 installation in version 14.0.7015.1000. So this version is different to the Excel version.Volker HondsParticipantHi,
thanks for your quick replies. Here some more information about my settings:
– Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 (64-Bit, German installation)
– Excel Version 14.0.7116.5000 (32-Bit, German installation)In the meantime I could do what I wanted to achieve without the need to export the date fields, so this problem is not a big burning issue (anymore).
But using the power of eaDocX the next situation will come 😉
To give you eventually more hints, I will try this task on a different machine (theoretically same settings), if I still see a issue, I will rise this one again, okay?
Thanks so far & best regards!Volker HondsParticipantI am using
– EA 10.0.1007
– eaDocX 3.4.3.0 Full Version
– Windows 7 Enterprise
– MS Office Professional Plus 2010 (German Setup)I observe this also with elements like packages and issues.
Maybe the German setup (OS and word/excel) can produce problems?Volker HondsParticipantYes, the downgrade worked. I tried it twice because I suspected something else, but the result was every time clear: The glossary generation works fine again with the version 3.3.15.3.
Note: I did not examined the “Project level Issues” problem after downgrade.Volker HondsParticipant…same thing happens with Project Glossary entries.
I observed the same problem with EA version 10.0.1007 and eaDocX 3.4.0.3.
Only the first glossary entry appears in the document. But when I close EA and re-start it, my new Project Issue always appears.
Well I re-started EA several times, but the problem is still the same!? I now did a downgrade to 3.3.15.3 🙁- This reply was modified 10 years, 9 months ago by Volker Honds. Reason: additional information after downgrade
Volker HondsParticipantYes, you were right. Switching my Windows 7 „Regional and Language Options“ to “English/UK” did the job.
Using “08/08/2013” instead of „08.08.2013“ marked the date with a color. But unfortunally running in the UK-mode is not a useful option (having German customers).
(I observed also a problem when switching back. Also after closing the EA and re-generating the document showed me the English format of the “Last_Updated” date. I had to change/toggle the date once in the profile/requirement/conditional-formatting menu, to see the right date format in word.)I know dealing with Microsoft internal date format can be a mess, but do you think there might be a fix in the future? Thanks.
Volker HondsParticipantNo US settings, but German date format (which I have to keep selected).
Volker HondsParticipantThanks for the advice! Quoting EA’s instruction:
“If your .EAP project is not in a Jet 4.0 database, you should also download a copy of the Jet 4.0 EABase model from the Sparx Systems website, and do an EAP to EAP transfer of your model into the Jet 4.0 file.”
So after transfering the EAP and enabling the JET4.0 usage in EA everything worked fine with EA and of course with eaDocX!Volker HondsParticipantHi,
what’s the current state about the glossary function?
I see that e.g. generating a document the term LOS will not be underlined in term GLOSSARY, but as a single term LOS (with spaces before and after), that’s – in my opinion – a good behavior. But is my observation correct that only the first occurrence is underlined?
And is there on option that I can use a hyperlink from the underlined word (in the generated document) to jump directly into the glossary definition? (If not, this would be a cool feature 😉
Thx and greetz.Volker HondsParticipantYes, that should work! Had not thought about that way. 🙂
