Adding connectors to a managed diagram
Access
There are several ways to add connectors to a managed diagram.
Item | Description | See Also |
---|---|---|
1 | If an MDG toolbox has been generated for this diagram type from the Reference Model then modellers should choose connectors from that toolbox. | Generating MDGs |
2 | EA also shows the ‘Common Relationships’ toolbox options, so modellers might also choose connectors from this list instead. | |
3 | Modellers may use the Quick Linker from any EA element on the diagram |
If modellers try to connect two elements using a connector which is not in the RM, they will see a dialog box.
This shows the modeller:
- the connector they are trying to create
- A list of connectors available in the reference model
- Optionally, some help text which explains what the connector is used for. This comes from the definition of the connector in the Reference Model.
