Exceptions – Attributes to ignore
You can tell Model Expert to ignore an attribute altogether.
So, for example, there are some default ‘ignore’ attributes loaded by default. Any attribute in this list, regardless of value, will not appear in the meta-model. You can add to this list, delete items from it, or restore back to the system defaults.

Attribute Default values
In some modeling languages, EA creates a tagged-value for some quantity, and gives it a default value.
You probably don’t want this to appear in your meta-model, as it’s not real data. But if someone DOES add some non-default data, then you should see this in the meta-model.
Model Expert lets you create a list of attributes, and their default values, so your meta-models don’t get filled-up with useless data.
For example:
This setting tells Model Expert that a ‘complexity’ field with value ‘1’ should not be put into the meta-model. Only when Model Expert finds something which is not ‘1’ will this be included in the meta-model.
Note: Any value of any attribute which is blank will be ignored; this is assumed always to be a default.
You can also tell Model Expert to ignore ANY value of an attribute: see Exceptions (above)
